As your Internet provider, TelAlaska is pleased to offer new levels of service and a rate reduction for customers who subscribe to dial-up Internet service.
Monthly dial-up service is now $39.90 - a savings of $5.10 per month. Additionally, we have added four levels of cable modem service for users who require more speed. Internet usage is measured in megabytes of data, (MB). The more megabytes you use the more bandwidth is required to deliver the data. To ensure adequate bandwidth is available to all of our customers on a regular basis we have instituted a "pay-as-you go" billing system. Usage limits have been established for each level of service and overages will be charged at 1 cent per megabyte. For example, if your service level allows up to 8,000 megabytes per month and you exceed that amount by 15 megabytes, you will be charged 15 ¢ overage. This system, which is being implemented by telecommunication providers nationwide, helps ensure customers receive equitable access to Internet bandwidth during times of heavy use and pay for the amount used.
The new plans will be available beginning May 1, 2012. Existing cable modem customers who do not select a plan will be placed on the 512K/128K plan on May 1. Dial-up customers who wish to upgrade to cable modem service should contact our office regarding installation.
Your usage for the month of February will appear on your next bill in the Eyecom Cable section under Internet Usage. No overage charges will be applied to your March or April bills to give you the opportunity to monitor your usage before selecting the plan that meets your needs.

Cable modem service requires cable TV from Eyecom Cable. Cable modem is always-on and doesn’t tie up your phone or TV. Prices do not include taxes and surcharges. FREE Installation. Cable modem service requires a modem and a Network Interface Card (NIC) or USB port. NICs are available from Eyecom Cable for $25. The cable modem is $80, or $148.75 for a wireless router.
